Chimney style cabinet made from a pine crate.
Not sure what its original contents were, but found this pine crate during one of my dumpster dives for scrap wood to heat the shop.

Chimney style cabinet made from a pine crate.

My 91 year old mother in law is always saying "when I go, just put me in a pine box" The crate pictured was just about the right size, but in the interest of domestic harmony, I resisted temptation and turned it instead into a chimney style cabinet. I painted the inside pale yellow, the outside barn red and then distressed it. Really like the way the finish turned out, but can't seem to get a picture that does it justice, even outside the barn in the natural light.
