How to Make a Quiche Pan Frame
1 commentSince my daughter has become a vegan, I have little to no use for my quiche pan. So, I thought it would be funny to frame a picture of her in it to remind her of the days when she actually ate eggs. Ha! I'm not quite sure if she appreciates my sense of humor quite as much as I do. Seriously though, when you find something lying about that you don't use any more, why not put it back into play? That's exactly what we decided to do. E is on her second week of winter break and we were looking for something fun to do. After identifying the body of the frame we gathered the rest of our materials from the box of leftover Christmas trinkets, treasures, and papers, and went straight to work. The finished project will hang on a wall in my bedroom so I can see that smiling cherubic face, of a once upon a time preschooler, every morning when I wake up. Ahhh... those were the days! What she doesn't know is that this is the first of many photos to be framed JUNKMARKET Style to adorn her 'Wall of Fame' when she graduates from high school next year. Not all of them will be this adorable... I'll also need to address that awkward stage. Poor E!

Display Case Frame
5 commentsI am forever searching for a creative way to frame those adorable school pictures of my little angels. You know how the grandparents adore them! So, I have made it a tradition to give them as gifts at the holidays. Well, I was thrilled this year to find this Germaine Monteil Couture Cosmetiques display case! Whew, maybe it will help tame those bright fun backgrounds we all love so much, that don't flatter any home decor. Let's see...

Vintage School Map Graphic
13 commentsOK, time for an inside project. No sandals allowed in the photos - I promise! I took a vintage school map I found at the swap meet for next to nothing and framed it up in a very old sliding glass door off of a store display cabinet. The imperfections in the old glass paired up with the well loved map makes for an interesting wall hanging. I have six more of these doors and am considering framing those amazing bus scrolls as a series...
