Here are the measurements: it's 32" in length, 18" wide, and almost 24" high at the peak. The width is from side to side - not including the points of the roof sticking out. Good luck with yours - - I'd love to see what you come up with!!

I love your button bouquets - they're so colorful and creative! I have fun making them too, and there are so many different ways to do them. I have some florist wire that I'll have to try - I've been using black 19-gauge wire - it works pretty well too.

Geo - I know you'll get your conservatory put together (and I can't wait to see it) - and the springtime will be perfect - for the spring I start with vintage garden stuff, bunnies and goodies for spring/Easter, and then right "back to the beach" for the summer - and, it's never exactly the same - since collections seem to come and grow...I mean go (oops - slipped there, didn't I??)...

A conservatory kind of thing could always be made/repurposed out of something different - like maybe an old fish aquarium (no building required...).

Geo - you did it!!! Love the black and white the best! And, yes, they are so addictive! I think part of it is that it's so easy, and the little "touches" - twists, turns, beads, etc...are just as easy as making the button stems - and it all turns out so darned cute!!! And then...choosing the container - there is no limit!

Way to go! You're now a confirmed buttonaholic, or buttoneer - just rename your shop "Buttons-r-Us"!

Thanks for your nice comments. This tree is so much fun to do - a perfect way to "display" old costume jewelry (and whatever else...and sometimes I do get a "little" carried away). (and, AtticusFinch - I like yours too - I don't have any charm bracelets, but they look really nice - dangling...).

Candy - I agree about the jewelry stand - it was definitely meant to be just that!! It's got some wonderful detail (without all the "stuff" on it - it actually has kind of an angelic face on it, and on the bottom part of it, there is a bird's nest...it's really unusual. I bought it from a friend, and when she saw it painted she wished she would have kept it. But I REALLY love it! (sorry, Ellen)

And, who wouldn't love an angel playing a guitar, right? :)

Jenny, I've got the ceiling tins mounted on a piece of wood right now...(about 2'x8' - it's 8 small panels) and it's hanging on our bedroom wall. It's not big enough to be the headboard (unfortunately) - but, you know I do have some other random pieces, maybe I could mount some more with it...and trim it out... Will keep you posted!! (We tore the old bed apart last night - so, now, it's "headboard-less" - let the building begin!)

The mother-of-pearl buttons are my favorite. The small bowl in the front is filled with black mother-of-pearl buttons with various carvings - they're really cool too.

Gretchen - a great idea to attach a button bouquet to packages...and I know what you mean about needing more room for displays - or "maybe" we should have "less" stuff.......nah........that thought went right out the window!!! LOL

We had my husband's grandmother's bed and I ended up getting rid of the old mattress a few years ago (kicking myself now - because it was even older...and I could have had so much fun with the springs) :( Oh well, we did keep the iron bed and painted it - so, it's been put to good use.

Thanks for all your comments. This is what we love to do - and we always go overboard...but, everyone loves walking in our "shop". And to see it all, you really need to go thru a couple times (great marketing strategy, right?? LOL)

We're hoping our occasional sale goes well - we've advertised in the newspaper and sent out invitations, and also bribing people with refreshments (hot chocolate and cookies - yum)... It's starting out small - but we will have both sections of our garage/workshop completely full and a little bit outside - maybe we'll expand out in the parking lot in the summer...and invite a couple more people to join in as vendors - oh, heck - maybe we'll just block the street and have a street market!! Just dreaming "out loud"! :)

I have an old white Christmas tree that I love - (from the thrift store). I've hated being away from the JunkMarket, but over the last two weeks we've been working like crazy women to get ready for our show AND open house - and my daughter visited for a week, and then Thanksgiving too- it was way too much fun (and gone too fast...). I've been trying to get my basement "workshop" area in order (and decorated) - so, you're helping to inspire me! I also have been looking at a book called "Where Women Create" - it has awesome studios, workshops, etc. of scrapbookers, quilters, artists, etc. - it's over the top inspiring!! (and provides lots of ideas...the more, the merrier, right??) LOL

Monica, We've been doing this for about 5 or 6 years, and are FINALLY getting organized! We'd just get busy, sell the piece we were using, and stuff things somewhere else... This will be so much better (and cute too...that's always a plus!) :) (Sometimes we barely even leave space for us to sit - we tend to overpack just a bit...ha ha.)
