Just recently went on a junk-hunt at a local saw mill that is being closed and torn down - gotta love OREGON. MAN, oh man, the stuff I found and FOR FREE! The "gears" are turning. I'll be sure to share the before and afters when I'm done.

Thanks for sharing about the clear top coat. I have the rub ons and found a really cute silverplate tea set 2nd hand. Can't wait to create something fun.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and wonderful comments. Just as a follow-up FYI, the rub-ons for this project and the vintage book pages where sealed with matte finish Mod Podge. This keeps the rub-ons from rubbing off and from being too shiny.

These are gorgeous! I just bought these rub-ons and am inspired to find some silverplate. One question, though. Did you clear coat the rub-ons?
