This is my first post to share a recent make-over. I started with an old, second-hand, avocado green, solid wood, mail caddy. Using a little paint, vintage book pages, a few rub-ons, some ribbon, and...

Re: Scrabble Tile Transformation

What a fun idea! I used to have two of these end tables, but they were never this fun! I love "playing" with game pieces in my projects. Great job.

Re: A Cool Coat Hanger

This is way cool...!

I just love finding anything vintage with numbers, letters, gears or chain. They just don't make them like they used to AND you made it even better!

Just recently went on a junk-hunt at a local saw mill that is being closed and torn down - gotta love OREGON. MAN, oh man, the stuff I found and FOR FREE! The "gears" are turning. I'll be sure to share the before and afters when I'm done.

Thanks again for the inspiration. I'm loving this site!!!!

Re: "NURSERY RHYME JUNK"

Thanks for sharing about the clear top coat. I have the rub ons and found a really cute silverplate tea set 2nd hand. Can't wait to create something fun.

Posted my first post using rub ons too - an old mail caddy. Can't wait to see more and create more!!!

Re: Avocado Green ... NO MORE!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and wonderful comments. Just as a follow-up FYI, the rub-ons for this project and the vintage book pages where sealed with matte finish Mod Podge. This keeps the rub-ons from rubbing off and from being too shiny.

Re: "NURSERY RHYME JUNK"

These are gorgeous! I just bought these rub-ons and am inspired to find some silverplate. One question, though. Did you clear coat the rub-ons?

Thanks and nice work!
