My name is Jen and I recently got interested in junk, repurposing, and creating unique household items after ordering the book Junk Beautiful. My Mom has always been an antiquer. She and my father enjoy rebuilding and restoring furniture so I grew up with them always working on a project and I guess it got into my blood...because I am always on the look out for something that I can make into a project. I like unique, handmade and one of a kind pieces, so junk market style is right up my alley. I am thrilled to be a new member of this wonderfully supportive community.

From the book JUNK BEAUTIFUL.....

While I was reading the book JUNK BEAUTIFUL...I saw the hand drill coat rack and loved it. I thought...I can do that. So, the project began. Purchased the hand drills and dug up the kitchen cabinet...

Old grain elevator rack....

The rack came out of an old grain elevator in Nebraska. They used it to organized the different sized rubber belts for trucks and combines. We attached it to the wall and now use it for a coat rack.

License Plate Art....

Eric (husband) cut a piece of ply wood, I painted it black and we screwed on license plates that I had acquired over the years. My favorites are the Nebraska County 72.....my husband's home county...
