I have always loved a bargain. I love garage sales and flea markets. I try to reuse alot. In 1999 I, myself, thought of reusing our closet doors which I took down in the computer room by making a L shaped desk for our computer. Matches the woodwork and everyone is shocked when they find out it was our closet doors (where the handle was I took off and the hole left I put computer cords and etc down it to the floor).
I am a young at heart grandma haha. I work parttime as a magazine merchandiser for pharmacies in my area. I love to redecorate--always have a project going. I made our king size headboard because prices for new ones were outrageous--now whenever I want I can change the material to freshen it. My husband made me some valances out of wood we had around the house. I buy alot from garage sales and freshen them with paint or etc and looks brand new.
I love the magazine I just found when I was restocking a pharmacy haha about Junking. I am going to love this site to get more ideas. I already found that chicken feeder reused for bottles above the stove--now I am dieing to find one hahaha.

Re: "Every Wall Is A Door"
It is so funny. My dad, years ago, built a garage out of old doors. He was a "junkie" and did not even know it. I wish I still had a picture of it. Unless you knew the garage you never knew where the door was to get inside. He collected them somewhere then got roofing and started in. This would have been in the 60's and 70's he had it.

Re: Camping Lunch pail
My mom used these pails for our picnics. Chicken in one, potatoe salad in the next and etc. Great idea how to reuse these today--I have seen these at garage sales and never thought to use for storage -- be great for buttons, boy alot of stuff!!
