posted: 9:47 pm on January 29thI buy the hollow metal hemispheres. I just decide what size I need and of course you have to buy 2 and then weld them together. If you decide to buy you might want to get several at a time because the shipping is rather expensive for just ordering 1 set. I've also used other "found" items. I used one of those old kerosene flares that they used to put in the road to show road construction. I just turned it upside down and then put a hat on her. I've also used some stainless steel floats that my husband got in the oilfield. Just use your imagination and I'm sure you can come up with something. Good luck and post some pics after you get a project finished.

One day on the way home from scrounging I stopped by the store to pick up some sandwich stuff and the lady looked at me (I was pretty scruffy looking)and asked if I was paying with food stamps! It's a big family joke now. Has the lower price of metal affected how much you find now? I can't believe the difference in the price now and 6 months ago.

Unfortunately, our local yard has banned us because of liability reasons. I even offered to work part time just to get to see the junk. Re: Merchandising Junk...Advice Requested
Think your display looks great! I struggle with displaying too (I don't sell, but at my home). I'll work and work on a display and then my sister comes in and moves a few things around and it looks great. Guess as long as she's around I won't have to worry about it. Keep up the good work!
