I had heard so much about Kathie and Kathie's Finds. I finally visited her last week and was so inspired! When we arrived at her store, Kathie personally greeted my friend and I (covered with paint)and made us feel so welcomed. She talked with us for a bit and then invited us to look around. She let us know that she would be working in the back. I loved the fact that her "studio" is located in the store. After my friend and I browsed a while (and admired some of Kathie's beautiful work), we were able to continue visiting with her and learning more about her. It was refreshing and exciting to meet someone who is so passionate about her art and her life. She emphasized how blessed she felt to be living her dream. While Kathie may be best known for her ability to refurbish "junk", it is evident that she possesses many talents. She is a self-taught artist with a creative gift. My personal favorites were her paintings! Kathie has a warm and kind, down-to-earth, way about her that made me want to move in! I definitely plan to make regular visits to Kathie's and can't wait to tell others about her exceptional store!
