Re: I Need Your Feedback
posted: 8:44 pm on November 7thI love vintage and junk touches, espesially at celebrations. such as weddings. I definantly would use enough to evoke the vintage repurposed whimsy, but not have junk without a purpose, that purpose could be sheer lovliness, though. If the junk has a family history, even better! Saving money is important, because I'm not wealthy. It is also a lesson on thrift to teach a young couple, the lesson being it is fun to create with family and friends and you come out with an event experience that is unique, personal, and a well thought out day for you. Well, a la junk beautiful only works for me if it isn't isolated, little touches of that theme needs its stamp throughout the wedding, be it just a smidge or a whole dollop. Details, that go unnoticed by some, is what makes a wedding pulled together. Good manners and being gracious never go out of style, while stuffy nonsense doesn't matter and personal sentiment is more important. Families, weddings, celbrating is about lives lived together and the little quirky traditions that are gathered up along the way, ours alone...it can be expensive, but your little piece of jewlery has so much meaning and makes you laugh out loud. We have a tradition, that has a sweet story behind it about what the ring bearer carries, intstead of a pillow...we've also stripped all of my mother's bottle trees and lined the aisles with cobalt blue, we all wore hats once(the bride loves them and my mom is famous for wearing them in our little town, well and of course the Royal wedding, hee hee) We've hand stamped and painted hundreds of invites, smoked briskets, and hand wired hundreds of glass beads, just for starters...some of it I would have hire out, if I could, but most I am glad we did together...it was times we cherished, before our family dynamics changed one more time and we were blessed with another member. ha ha, I can talk about weddings...I love them. Usually the bride tell me what she likes, then I tell her what I have and being a junker, if I don't have it, I know where I can get it!

That door in the middle looks similar to the door in my Master bath, which use to be the front porch. Not real sure about the question you asked me,(I think I'M visual) but if you used only the rails and they came off the wall just enough for magazines, like only an inch, they shouldn't take up too much room, maybe the cut edge could butt up to either side of the door. I love your iron bed sitting area, it is so inviting. And I want to build a whole fence with old doors, now to convince the hubs that it would be awesome! Lezlee

So cool, I think you needto put shelf brackets under them, with the drawer pulls facing the sides, to use the pulls to hold things through them or attach things with rings, and make them alternate, so every other side will have some green drawers with pulls, the galvanized part in the front is a good flat surface to label what is in each drawer... Display it inside or out, just make sure it can be seen from all 3 sides... Lezlee

I am a teacher's aide for one of my sisters, how lucky for me. There is another wonderful aide in the room with us, too. These are Content Mastery classrooms, which basically means Jr. High students with some type of disability that makes it difficult to keep up with the heavy workload, come it for extra help, or to "master the content". Some have severe disabilities to dyslexia and some I tease,(in a nice way, of course) have dis"Lazy"ia. It is a fun class because we are able to have a more homey feel and less strict environment. I worked for years in Head Start, (4 year olds) and now my babies are coming through Jr. High, so we have a special bond. Thanks for the nice comments, sorry for long-winded post. Lezlee p.s. I'm home sick, today.
