Cabinet doors make great wall art!

Here are 2 projects I completed in just a few days - both of which were made from cabinet doors I bought at Habitat for Humanity's Restore.  They were both in such good shape I didn't need to...

Silver plated tray turned beachy chic

Here I tried my hand at a little tiling and painting over silverplated tray.  I'm sure I'll get better at this, but this piece took me over a week to make - I was so afraid of goofing up that I...

Re: Wine cork bird house

Great idea! What kind of adhesive did you use? And are you really goign to put it outside?

Re: Flexible Flyer Fun

How did you affix the wagon body to the reclaimed wood frame?

Re: UNKNOWN OBJECT

If it is lined with metal, it looks to me like it might be an ember box, or scuttle box, or tinder ash box. Especially since it has a hole to let it hang by the hearth, it would be a convenient and safe method to shovel out the cinders or embers from a fireplace, cover it with the sliding top, and dispose of them. Then it would hang to the side of the hearth until it was needed again. Just an idea.

Re: Garden Memo-Board

How did you secure the garden fencing to the bulletin board? And is that fabric just stapled onto the corkboard? What a great idea! I'd love to make one of these for my dear friend who's a garden-oholic.

Re: Antique Typewriter Lamp

Ooooh, I need to make this! I bought a very similar typewriter for $2 recently and haven't been able to justify it as a "dust collector" on a surface in our house. If I could turn it into a lamp for our stalled basement redecorating project, (but I've never made a lamp before), that would solve 2 problems. Care to share your how-to steps?

Re: starship birdhouse

My Star Trek fan of a husband would get a kick out of this! What a great creative adaptation!

A great picture would be if a goldfinch (gold shirt - command level) or cardinal (red shirt - security & engineering) would perch on the front of the bridge and look like the Captain or other officer!

Re: Upcycled festive mirror, made from the left behinds

This is fabulous! How did you attach the bulbs so they don't get crushed or fall out?

Re: Curb Find

Wow - Looks great! Did you have to make the top and top drawer? If so, please give some details on how you did this. It came out beautifully! - Karen
