I have just recently discovered exactly how much I love painting, building and turning JUNK items into very useful things. I have found that this is my stress reliever. I am a mother of 2 and also create hair full time. So when I feel like staying up after the kiddies bedtime or they are away for the weekend is the only time I get to put a lot of hours into anything. I am a stylish chick with 4 different saws, 2 sanders, lots of hammers, variety of nails and screws, and much scrap wood collected from construction sites in the neighborhood...Shhh! ha ha! It is really just the scraps that I take! ;) Anyways I am a self taught artist and love looking and building on ideas from other peoples work. I have a spot I love to buy my JUNK aka. pieces it is called Habitat for Humanity, local people and local stores(including Lowes Hardware)donate chipped, discontinued items, mis-tint paints(I Love those)and old and new furniture. If you have a Habitat for Humanity in your area it is in your best interest to check it out!
