I have been married to a wonderful man for 30 years. We have two children, Michelle 24 and TJ 22. My kids are grown and we are empty nesters, loving every minute of it. I have a new found passion for gardening. I have been busy digging up much of my 7 acres for a few years now. I have been busy junking for the past summer with my good friend Gretchen Schaumann, finding treasures for my gardens and sitting areas.

That booth is over the top. Love how it all turned out.
Unbelievable how wonderful it looks with your things and
Sue's. I am really kicking myself that I did not venture
downtown to see it in person. What was I thinking?

Re: Door turned desk

Really beautiful desk. I have to echo what everyone else
has said about the legs. Wow, do they ever make the piece.
It sure looks like a wonderful work space for you.
Have a great winter creating. I hope to see you again
in the summer.

Re: Junky Tablescape

Andrea
Your tablescape looks fantastic. I love how you made such good use out of discarded sheet music. What a great and
simple idea. Great way to use your much loved numbers. You
would be so easy to buy gifts for with your love for numbers.
It was so good to see you again a few weeks ago. Let's do
it again next year.

This is so creative, love it. The water bottle and writing on the top is fantastic. Talk about a cheery bunch of flowers.

Congrats on the DVD and magazine. Watched the DVD this weekend. Loved it. You all did a wonderful job.
Also, congrats on the 1700 plus junkers now on your site.
Amazing what has transpired in a few months time.

Re: How to Make A Paris Lamp

Georgia

Wow, is that a fantastic lamp. I cannot believe the
transformation. I would snap up the paris version in
a heartbeat. The fringe look however, I am sure I would
have passed on and not had your great insight.
Great job.

The old worktable is fantastic. It's so wonderful when you can re-use something in your home that has special meaning/memories for you. It looks great in your living room/creative space.

Really cute and functional idea. I love this type of
little purse. I use one all the time. Mine is not quite as
stylish as this however.

Great style. Thanks again.

Re: Mobile Boutique

Junkjunkie

Unbelievable! Everyone likes to shop. Everyone needs
something new and fresh every now and then. It makes us
feel alive. What a fantastic thing you are doing. It must
put a smile on your face to roll on up to the next stop.
Not everyone has wheels when they get up in age. Why not
bring the wheels to them.

Re: Wisdom Gal

Jenny

I so love your wisdom gal. What a great idea. This would
be such an awesome gift for young women graduating from
high school, a gift for going off to college or any other
occasion. It just gives such a positive message and visually you can tell she is a smart cookie.
You must be selling these. I think I need to email you.

Re: Toboggan Winter Photo Display

Candy

What an awesome project. I can't believe you found such
a cute short toboggan. I thought they only came in the
super long size. Wow! are those kids cute. Love the
display. I can truthfully say, I would have never thought
of this idea.

Re: Industrial BirdFeeder

Amber

I so love your bird feeder. Very creative design. In the past few years this has been my new passion. Those pesky squirels are not going to be able to chew through this! Very
different found items you have put in your design. Those sure would sell well in the midwest.

Re: Just "GLITTER" it!!

You have done a great job of staging your things to photograph. Really beautiful. Love the idea with the frames and the mirror.

ideas for myself in the next few days.

my idea of a project, no sewing involved.

Love this. Your red metal tool box was an awesome find.
Thanks for the inspiration on the greens. I have never thought of using trimmings from my boxwoods.

Re: The littlest Christmas tree

Janis

We have the greatest spot west of where Gretchen, Lanette and I live. It is only 1/2 an hour away. Once a month these shops in Buffalo, Minnesota open up the 1st Thursday thru Sunday. They have created and shopped for new finds all month long. It is so wonderful, we have a blast. Gretchen and Lanette are pros and have been going to Buffalo for years. Lanette actually sells in a shop in Buffalo. If you are ever in good old Minnesota, we could hook you up for a fantastic weekend.

I just had to write you again. I can't get this piece
out of my head. Love it so much, I came back to give it
another look see. I just can't get over the quote. If it was for sale, I would have to have it.

area between the window and door. Lots of wonderful treasures on the shelves I can tell.

Re: Ice Skates Get a New Life

Gretchen
Your skates turned out so wonderful. The laces are great as well as your fur trim. I love them.
Beautiful wrap you are using this year and those tags are priceless. Quite the theme you have going on.
What a wonderful picture it takes. I am so impressed how it all turned out. It's only minus 4 today. Send some Florida warm on Thursday.

Re: Joy To The World

Candy
This project is just beautiful. It is such a professional
looking display. It could be in a magazine or fun shop. I know of a couple shops it would look great in. It just pops with your beautiful white woodwork in the background.

Re: Walt is a Junker

Georgia
The name of my town is pronounced Now-then. Very funny,
I know. Back in the early 1900's, a man had summited some
names for the town. When all were rejected, he summited
more. He wrote Nowthen, how about these names. Now your
road is a funny one. I'll bet you have had a lot of
fun with that one.
Thanks for your nice comments.

Re: A Little Christopher Robin Advice We Should All Make a Promise To Keep...

I will be using this quote in the future. Love it.

Re: Memory garden

Debbie

I am so sorry to hear of your parents passing. That is
a lot for me to digest. My heart goes out to you. These
are going to be some tough days ahead for you and your
family. I am not sure if you have some good information
on the grieving process. I have some great information
passed along to me from the hospice center. Please
let me know if I can pass it along to you. It helped me so much.
Be good to yourself and allow yourself some time to feel good again.

Carolyn

Re: Memory garden

Midge

Thanks so much for the nice comments.
Those first holidays are some tough times to get through.
You really have to dig deep. I sure found out what I was
made of through my dad's illness and death. My thoughts are
with you. I will have to tell you, that garden space has
been so cathartic for me. I have spent a large portion of
my summer in that space, planting, mulching and talking
out loud to my dad. I highly recommend it. Find something
that works for you and heals you.
I have a great letter that was sent to me on the one
year anniversary of his death. It was sent from the hospice
area of the hospital. I would love to send you a copy, if
you would like. It really helped me.
Carolyn

Re: Memory garden

Thanks for the nice comments Elaine.
My husband is a Machinest by trade. It is the first time
he had ever attempted something like this.
I have to tell you, that doing this project ruined his golf
swing for the rest of the summer.

Re: Christmas Bling & More Great Ideas

Gretchen, I can't believe I passed up on purchasing some of those Christmas bulbs from Julie's sale. What a big
mistake. It is so nice that you took pictures of that home tour. You really forget a lot of what you see. So much to take in.
