Re: JMS Editors & Contributors in Review 2011

By far the most talent in one site ever! Keep working and being creative in 2012!

Re: Christmas Bells

Love this one and I luckily can walk right to those items (really)and have one assembled like it in just a few mins. Great easy gift ideas if they are still needed.

Re: The Sign Says it All

The Pfakel Sisters had a great weekend tooooo.... It is always fun to have the three of you arrive at our door!! We could have had more fun if only the wind would have gone down and we could have sat around the bonfire but that was the only thing that we didn't do.
My mind is really going with all the planning ideas and I have started on a couple of things to share with Sue and a few for JMS.
Have a great fall everyone.

Sharon

Re: Happy May Day!

Okay, I am partial to the Flew-sy or Flew-see as a Pfarkel it seems to fit. But, others have had wonderful suggestions too!

Re: The Flea Market Under Glass is Just Around the Corner...March 3 - 5, 2011

Junk [re]defined by the Pfarkel Sisters will be there too!!
Let's think spring and no more snow!! We are going to bring some chippy white, etc. so we do not need white outside.

Re: A Message from Turks and Caicos

Jealous is not the word for it!! With weather like we have been having in MN who would want to be anywhere else? LOL Besides, we are going to have rain tonight and tomorrow to cover our 30+ inches of snow, does that not sound like FUN!
Enjoy yourself with all the family and a very Merry Christmas and a most wonderful year of junking for the New Year.

Re: It's a Wrap - Part One

Great!! I have tree wrap in the basement! I think I will use it to decorate at the new farm house if I can get there with all the snow!! The driveway is plowed but they forgot the sidewalk--since we are not living there full time but... we are going to do an old fashion Christmas and spend Eve day and Christmas day there! I have to get decorating!!

Re: Making the Best of Mistakes

It was a very successful project! A very successful event!
All with wonderful friends, junkers and family. We get through it all with each other for support, love and laughs. Thanks to Amy for getting the blogger party going; to Lani and Sue for attending the event, drinking some of the wine, shopping in my garage and sharing the laughs. Also thank you the JMS contributors who sent items for the auction.

Re: Flowers That Never Fade...

Cute idea and we just pick up the mother load of buttons last week. I spent hours the last two days sorting and packaging them--so, now I think I will use a couple of them before we put them up for sale. I think this will be great for our Trash to Treasure Charity Auction later this month!!

Re: Freeze Frame

Do the Pfarkel Sisters get to guess on this one?? It turned out wonderful and yes, Colleen is very close to the right guess. It is from the horse drawn vehicle era.

Re: PS Part 3 - Favorite Finds for Country Gardens Magazine

We have found a few more buckets if you did not come up with the amount that you needed. I beleive we are at 4 of the #10
Sounds like you found a few things on your way home. Did you get a SOLD sign??

Re: PS Part 1 - The Pfarkel Sisters and the Vintage Treasures Market

K - the chairs are fishing boat chairs and they swivel and attach to the bench in the boat.
Vanessa - Oh if all of us had time to visit each others garages, storage sheds, etc. would we have a good time!!

Re: Storytime with Sue Whitney at Vintage Treasures Market

Maybe, yours can be replaced so your door table is not so empty.

Re: OLD METAL SIGN - NOW A CENTERPIECE

Great idea!! We have two metal pieces -one off a old wind mill so, it is a little large for coffe table but the other one is smaller and it is looking for a WI home as it is a badger advertisment. I can share you arrangement with our shopper this week.

Re: Garden Party Necklace

I really love this piece and it goes so well with the theme.

Re: Tick, tock ... I've got clocks!

I do not think that anyone of us would have passed these up especially, for $3. What a find and it is good that Kathy was not closer or you may have to fight her for them or at least shared them. Enjoy each one of them

Re: The Junk is Flying at Art + Architecture, JUNKMARKET Style

Okay, it is 10:30PM and all of you are having so much fun you have not yet had time to post all the pictures!! Is anything left for those of us that could not come tonight??
Restock-restock we will be there on Fri. Pfarkels and friends and little Sopie will have to come too.

Re: Literally, A SPRING Wreath

Now, I know what to do with the pile of springs I removed from a old chair. My front door needs a change from the barbed wire wreath that is out there for winter. Oh Spring!! popping up all over. Chair has already been repurposed

Re: "Wander/Watch/Nest" Necklace

Another great look -- the birds nest matches the one I have Love it!!

Re: Art & Architecture, JUNKMARKET Style

It really has been a long winter!! I think I will already be in the Twin Cities for another event plus it is my birthday SO....what a way to celebrate!! Glad to see everyone else has made it through the winter as I have been too quiet on the blogging end.

Re: Thank You One and All

Sue,
The Pfarkel's truly enjoyed the party! Your house feels like home the minute you walk in the door, being greeted by Lilly and the great hug and warm welcome from you. I am glad that you posted photos of the gifts and not the partiers. The Pfarkel's have been doing handmade items for the holidays and birthdays since the 80's and it is always exciting to see what each one of us comes up with. Can't wait for the next party and we usually feel comfortable helping the the kitchen--we don't do windows!
It was a great crowd of old friends and a few new ones, we just did not stay up until 5AM like some. We had to get Don back safely to his motel.
GREAT time full of laughs, sharing, friendship and Hugs AND pictures!!
I will help plan a reunion if you wish my help
Sharon

Re: JMS Post from the Past - "I'm Going All the Way to the Top!"

I wish I would have seen that first!! I have an elevator in my home/B & B and it would have been just the right accent. The door comes out in the large bath upstairs and my kitchen downstairs. Maybe, I can find another one somewhere. The hunt is always on for good junk

Re: Pre-Oronoco Gold Rush Estate Sale

We share the pictures so all of us can travel along on our outings, don't we. If I had more tech. talents I am sure there is a way I could be sending the pictures or video to all of you while I was shopping for treasures. Someone in this crowd knows how to do that I am sure. Mean while we will just enjoy each others posts and pretend that we are there too. It is happy treasure hunting for this weekend in Minnesota!!

Re: What to get for the junker who has (almost) everything??? It's a "challenge" that's for sure!

I will most definitly be at Oranoco! Can find myself and the other Pfarkel's at Amy's booth on Sat. during the Junkologie Blog Party. I would love to have an item or two from you and any of the other 'junk bloggers'. I was just thinking of posting a challenge on my blogspot so, check there for more details and I will also do a seperate post under member projects too with a link to mine.

Re: What to get for the junker who has (almost) everything??? It's a "challenge" that's for sure!

Okay Kathy,new contributor (aka-you)
Really good junk I agree with Jim and Candy. But way too much stuff for Sue to deal with especially with her sale this weekend although that does give her alot of room for new junk. I would like to take an item or two off your hands for our Trash to Treasure Charity Auction, August 28 fund raiser for breast cancer.
I like the lamp idea -- did one simular earlier this year and used some of the metal pieces to put together a water fountain for my sister's birthday.
Good luck with the challenge

Re: Yard Sale is all done Up JM Style...The Details

No way you are going to sell the red stove from last years Oranoco!! The scale that came from WI maybe, it will go back to the Barn in Spooner. I hope all goes well as it looks like the Pfarkels will not make the trip. We have had sooo much going on that we have not had time to work on projects for our Trash to Treasure Auction for Breast Cancer charity on Auguest 28. Since we will be seeing you at Gold Rush and will not get work done that weekend for the auction we will have to stay home and be good workere this weekend.

Re: Yard Sale is all done Up JM Style...The Details

Okay!! the Pfarkel's are loading the bus and will be up for this one. Do we need a number to get in? Seems like a lol at first but maybe not.
See Ya! Fjerda-(Sharon)

Re: Successful Vintage Treasures Market

Yes we do sell items right out of our house. We do not have regular hours however, since I am here running the B&B also. Please call ahead and we can make arrangements. If we are working on projects here at the shop we try to also be open whenever possible which, is mainly on fri- sun. The other two sisters have regular away from home jobs.

Re: Vintage Treasures Market

JudiD we are in SE Minnesota, St. Charles is 20 miles E of Rochester or 20 miles W of Winona. I will try to get some more pictures posted.

Re: Vintage Treasures Market

Sue--no way on the book we know someone who does that already and it is alot of work I hear. Glad you like our junk and beleive me we have a lot more where that came from. If we have leftovers you will see some of it in Sept. at that other Junk Market. Sue, how about a weekend retreat and you could invite all these lovely junkers
