My disjointed resume may seem at odds, but there is a method to my madness and my wide-range of experience make for a rich and interesting life. All that I have accomplished seems to make sense to me now. From acting on stage to directing, to living in Europe, to being a military officer, to producing and writing shows for theme parks, to owning my business, to writing professionally, and settling into the art world, my journey has been exciting.
I like to describe myself as a someone who enjoys living with practical beauty. I surround myself with objects that have personal meaning and real uses even if the only use is to bring a smile to my face. I have worn many hats in my life. Designing bedding and furniture allows me to work with my love of fabrics and furniture. I like to document my work which allows my love of photography and writing to come into play as well. I am mostly inspired by the creative passions that other people have for their own gifts. I am always interested in how others are so caught up in their own art and expressing their passion - their creative passion never stops amazing me!
I am a Christian that is very grateful for all that I have been given and I have always felt that I am only a surrogate for the many talents that I have been entrusted and hope that I use my talents to inspire others to find their own gifts. My greatest joy comes from encouraging and inspiring others to step out be who they are, not who they think others want them to be. I like to write about my adventures in my blog, The Adventures of Elizabeth at www.elizabethhousestlouis.blogspot.com.
Finally, I am a wife of a man that loves me dearly and had no idea what he was getting into when decided he wanted me for the rest of his life. Because I have such a good man in my life, the beauty I choose to have in my life is now even more spectacular because I get to share it with someone who loves me for who I am - warts and all :-)
