So sweet placed in a vintage metal flower frog!
A photo garland makes a sweet & nostalgic statement hanging from a mantle, or over a bed or mirror.

Protected under glass table top.  Place nostalgic items on table to create a memory vignette.

Here are a few ideas for using Instant Ancestor old photos!  They can be displayed in many ways:

  • Pretty crystal bowl or old sewing machine drawer
  • Placed in floral frog alone, or then put under glass cloche
  • Make a garland from them by using old lace or ribbon, scrapbooking/office supply clips to hold photos on.
  • W/Magnets on a window screen/ceiling tile/"silver" dish
  • Tucked in a birdcage

My favorite of the instant ancestor displays is the vintage flower frogs. The rustiness of the one pictured just goes well with the sepia of that photo. Great! Posted: 7:52 pm on September 15th

Great ideas you had, too, Georgia--the trumpet idea is truly cool. You should post a pic!
Kimberly--I totally heart you for saying I'm wonderful! Wanna be my new best friend?! :)
Sue--To the Queen of Junk, anything you think is cool has got to stay on my fav list! I'm loving the re-purposing projects you're doing, keep it up, the site (despite my initial sadness at the change, I'm lovin' it now) is amazing--y'all keep up the great job!!

Blessings,

I love that you have adopted the old relatives that have gotten lost and adore the way you have chosen to display them. Can't wait to see more of your posts and enjoyed your blog site as well. Glad to have you a part of the new site. Posted: 3:49 pm on August 27th
georgiamoon writes: Hi, I love your ideas on displaying old photos. I have put old pictures inside ball jars...you know the ones for canning. I just slip on in and it kind of curls itself around the glass and looks old and cool, plus it is protected. Right now I have an old photo displayed inside inside the curvy parts of on old trumpet. Fun huh? Posted: 3:05 pm on August 27th
