Heirloom Piano Repurposed!
August 26th, 2008 in member junkGrowing up, my 2 sisters and I , had an old 1940's piano that Mom and Dad bought for us to take our piano lessons on. Over the years, older sister has kept it in her storage building and just recently decided it was time to move it on and move it ...out. So after much sledge hammering and chainsawing, they disassembled what was salvagable and brought it to me to do 'something' with. These 3 pieces are the result of passing on something that has outlived its time, into projects that each of us girls could now have... a piece of our piano memories forever! (p.s...they haven't seen the projects yet!)

I ripped apart an old piano, too,(an upright grand) and got several projects out of it and several more to go. It wasn't sentimental, just free. What you did with yours is SOOO cool, plus it's an angel and a part of your family's history. I REALLY love it.
