Spice Rack
February 23rd, 2009 in member junkHi All,
I wanted to share the spice rack I have. The original box was from a mill that must have used it to hold somethig steady. It ws 3 feet long so my hubby cut it in half for me and designed a individual holder insert for these bottles I found for $2 at a flea market. I plan to use the other half for another holder in my kitchen. I wanted to dress it up so I used the hangers from some vintage Christmas balls that I kept because I love the patina of the wire. I did some spirals and flatten some caps for flowers and a few black seed beads and went artsy with it. It was alot of fun.
Modge Podge to glue the wire and a coat of bees wax finished it. I have enjoyed the other spice racks I have seen on the site.
It is so nice to share these projects with others who appreciate them. I am glad to be part of this wonderful group!
Linda :)
