Junky Basket Lady
August 23rd, 2008 in member junkMeet the junky basket lady! Her body is made from an old lawn mower reel, her hat is the cover from a ceiling fan, her skirt is tin, her hair is chains, her legs and arms are old pipe and her feet are old hinges. I made 2 of these--one for my daughter and daughter-in-law. I had planned on the lady holding a planter but couldn't find any so I used baskets from an old chest freezer. I'm glad I did cause now they can change the contents of the basket according to the season--pumpkins and mums for fall, greenery and presents for Christmas, etc., etc.

Just looking through some old posts and came across this lovely lady. Don't know how I missed her before. She is amazing! I really, really love her. Maybe I'll try my hand at making one this spring. Thanks for the inspiration.

I know what you mean, Cynthia, wish I had taken FFA instead of FHA too. Don't do much sewing these days! Posted: 6:17 pm on August 24th

Glad to see your metal family keeps growing! If the man on the pier gets a look at this "fine" lady, your other metal lady may have a run for her money. I think she's just great!
