A romantic pair lights up our life!

I'd intended to cover the shades with fabric, but decided to do a temporary fix with the wrapping paper. It's been temporary for about 6-8 years!
I love the glow through the roses when the lamps are lit. We use CFL bulbs so the shades never get hot.
The rose finials came from a lamp shop, and cost more than the lamps, but I loved the finishing touch they added.
My JH spotted these charming 40's lamps at a thrift store in Charleston, and knew I'd love them. We quickly snatched them up for $25 for the pair. I made the lampshades out of heavy rose-themed wrapping paper, sprayed with poly for protection, and added the gimp and tassel trim.
