Thanks for the Inspiration
February 1st, 2009 in member junkThanks go to my friends Cathy & Stephanie at Gatherings in Georgetown, Texas, as well as to "deja vu", "Beds to Benchs", "romancerelics", "funktionaljunk" and "whatscookinjunk" who inspired me to make a fun bench out of a headboard/footboard. This is the Steve and Bridget take on it...I've yet to find the perfect cushion; toile or should it be more bold? I decided against the red -- felt a bit too country for me; though, seeing a "before" with the red makes me wonder (aye yi yi)...
Total cost: $8.00 - price I paid for the Vintage, if not antique bed from the Caring Place -- note the MESSY workshop -- where i stash stuff from "curbside shopping" which allows me to keep costs down. Amazing when a piece of trim is just what's needed, and guess what, you have one from over a year ago...found it, kept thinking you should toss it, didn't...and there it is: covered with dust, PERFECT, and ready to serve!
