Sometimes a little paint...and sometimes a little less paint are the TLC a piece needs to come back to life.
In their lifetime some pieces of junk have been given a little too much attention!  This is the cupboard as I found it.

Sometimes a junk hunt will reveal a piece that has been given a little too much attention. I saw potential in this simple enamel top, hoosier bottom cupboard...I had to look hard to see it! I stripped the top back to it's original enamel, and added a coat (many coats) of fresh white to the rest. To add some character I covered the large drawer with chicken fabric and chicken wire, and lined the bottom shelf to coordinate. With a little TLC is has a fresh look, this time with a "country kitchen" flair. I thought it would make a cute addition to a porch as well.

SweetMelissa writes: It is actually real chicken wire (over a "chicken" panel of fabric). I loved adding some texture to this project. The bottome shelf is lined with fabric too. Then I sealed it with polylcrylic so it would be washable. Posted: 10:03 am on February 1st
