globe lamp
January 28th, 2009 in member junkI had this beautiful pink and gold glass globe shade and knew it might be a candle holder one day but hadn't been able to fit it satisfactorily to anything. I then came across this silver tea caddy lid which fitted perfectly and an old glass jar and nightlight finished it off. It was so easy I felt like I was cheating! It all fitted very snugly so I haven't fixed it so will be able to re-use the globe shade later when I've worked out what else it will be.

This is a simple, yet lovely project. I collect vintage glass shades(AMONG other things!) I also have used them as candle holders, but have never put a base to mine. Thanks for the inspiration! I love what you wrote in your profile, about some people loving your home and others, just not getting it! My thoughts exactly! Happy junking! Di Posted: 4:28 pm on January 28th
