New wine caddie right at home on our dining room buffet.  This just goes to show that with a little imagination, a bit of luck, a good cleaning and a spray of poly,  something junky can be really cool and funky!
Whats this crazy looking thing?
MAJOR rust, wheels and a bare frame?
Yes, folks, looks like this old thing is a new wine caddie!

This little "treasure" was found on a junk adventure well over a year ago.  It took me a minute to even realize it was the frame of a croquet set, minus the balls and mallet!  I have a "thing" for wheels and rust, so that's what caught my eye!  It sat in my garage for well over a year, with no ideas coming to my mind on what it "could be".  As luck would have it, it accidentally fell over on its side when I was making room for more junk...then came one of those OMG moments!

shabbychick writes: Andrea - that is a classic piece of junk perfection!!! :) It's funny how we come up with ideas sometimes - and sometimes they just "hit" us!! What a great functional piece! (and I'm sure a conversation piece as well!)

Thanks for sharing and welcome to the JunkMarket!!

CottageElements writes: This is a awesome repurpose. I've had a lot of crochet sets, but nothing like this one. I'll have to keep my eye out for one now! Looks like you might even have a bottle of my favorite wine in it! Btw, I think you should show the finished product first. It looks so great and entices others to look to see more. Thanks again!

Junk_Sophisticate writes: Okay, this is just too perfect. You realize I'm going to be looking at every old croquet set now trying to visualize what you came up with. Unfortunately the couple sets I have look nothing like yours. Very, very creative. Looks great!

SweetMelissa writes: Having seen this wonderfully repurposed piece in person, I know that even though it looks great in the pictures...it's even better up close. It has a wonderful time-worn rusty patina and fits into its new home beautifully! Great job, junk sister. Posted: 10:49 pm on January 27th

AtticusFinch writes: Very good. It looks like an old croquet caddie. Your imagination made something non-functional to fun-ctional.
