East meets Midwest
January 21st, 2009 in member junkI'm the kind of girl that will build a whole outfit around a $3.00 belt, so with that in mind. A while back I came across this fabulous machanical brass lock and key with an oriental flavor. When I saw this table on the curb I had a 'Ah ha' moment. Someone was good enough to give me a couple of oak panels that they had torn out (I know it was crazy to me too!) but who was I to argue. The other two pieces were from a builtin unit in a building that was being torn down. The only thing I had to add was the plywood for the back.

I can't believe it came from that pile of odd pieces.

The cabinet turned out fabulous! This post should be featured in a "Trash to Treasure" magazine. Incredible!
