I AM NOT SURE WHERE I SAW THIS BUT ITS AN OLD DRESSER DRAWER MADE INTO AN OTTOMAN.  I HAD TWO DRAWERS AND BOUGHT 3" FOAM, REMNANT FABRIC, SOME FURNITURE TACS AND HAD SOME OFF WHITE PAINT FROM THE "OOPS PAINT" SHELF @ HOME DEPOT.  THEN CUT OUT PIECES OF PLYWOOD FOR THE LIDS.  I HINGED THE TOPS AND UPOLSTERED THEM.  NOW I HAVE A NICE STOOL AND STORAGE!  I HAD TO REMOVE MY HUSBANDS FOOT, SINCE HE ALREADY CLAIMED IT AS HIS OWN. I'M NOT SURE IF I WANT CASTERS FOR THE BOTTOM OR FEET?  I'M THINKING BUN FEET.  ANY IDEAS?

Junk_Sophisticate writes: Great storage ottoman! Your fabric choice and furniture tacks make it look so nice. I think bun feet for this style would look really good, however, depending on how heavy this is if you need to move it often(especially filled), casters might be a better option.

Keep us posted with what you decide.

That's a very clever idea of an ottoman! I would go for the bun feet. I love that the drawer has a slight curve to it, it adds class! I would just love to see your island that you made.
I have had similar thoughts, but I think I'd first have to build it to convince my hubby! Thanks for joining. Di Posted: 12:43 pm on January 19th

Welcome to JUNKMARKET Style. This is a great idea and thanks so much for the how to instructions. Bun feet sound like a good choice . Unless, you want to remove it out from under your husband's feet quickly...then casters might be the better option. Ha! Thanks again and have fun on the site.

Take care,
