I found this door on the curb and bought the desk at a garage sale.  They were both in decent shape but had crummy finishes.  I didn't even think to take before photos.  I was more intent on seeing the finished projects. After painting them black, I added textured wall paper to the panels on the door and a black and tan paper to the desk top and panels.  It was a fun fun project.
