Bought this set for $10 at a yard sale, painted them and resold for $85.00. The fun was in the painting!
Detail of chair...
Sturdy wooden doll cradle purchased at Goodwill Store for $4.99...painted it and saving this project for my granddaughters!
Other painted pieces...wall shelf from Goodwill, a mirror from a yard sale, and a great revolving coat rack found during sparmuel ( trash day at the curb!) in Germany.

I love to find wooden things to paint...mostly with random designs and baurenmaleri style accents.  I hate to part with my finished work...kind of like finding a good home for a puppy. I often just give my pieces as gifts to friends that really seem to love them.

I also like to paint old German galvanized canners, washtubs, aluminum tea kettles, coffee pots, and etc. as well.

piecesofthepast writes: I love this set! Pizzawife (another junker on here) and myself paint furniture, too. I recently painted and sold a bed frame and little side table. It is hard to part with the pieces, but so much fun to create them, huh? I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work! Posted: 5:13 pm on January 10th
Junk_Sophisticate writes: Coming from a mom of three young girls, I love what you did with these pieces! I too purchase items at thrift stores to paint (just plain, nothing detailed like yours) and think it's so cost effective and can add special detail to your home.

Speaking of your home. After getting over a foot of snow overnight, do you mind if I fly on over to your house for a while?...I knew you wouldn't.

Welcome to JUNKMARKET Style! We're glad to have you.

MimiToria writes: Lois - welcome to the Junk Market site. Its great to have your talent on board. I just love your table and chairs, and I'm sure the lucky ones that now own it do too. You did an outstanding job of painting it. Would of loved this when my daughter was young. Her table was little like this, but not pretty by any means like this one.
