Here’s a super easy way to re-use some of your old
(favorite) jeans.
Jenny K. asked me to create a purse to use when she goes junking.
She didn’t want anything fussy – it just needed to be small, yet sturdy with a long
strap to allow for hands-free shopping ;-)
I had these old jeans tucked away and thought – perfect! I cut
them in half which allowed me to take full advantage of the front, back and
coin pockets.
Here's a shot of the back.
As you can see, quite a lot is able to be stashed in this
little bag. I added a snap to the main compartment and I may add a small snap
to the back pocket if that’s where she wants to carry her cash to keep it at
the ready.
No need to line the bag either – I just sewed it closed
using a french seam.
The strap is made of twill tape from a fabric purchase – it has
the manufacturer’s name on it and the colors matched perfectly.

This bag is too cool for school. Love it! It is the perfect junking handbag. Practical, yet very stylish. Jenny is a lucky girl. Thanks so much for sharing.
Take care,

Really cute and functional idea. I love this type of
little purse. I use one all the time. Mine is not quite as
stylish as this however.
