Old Door Porch Swing

We needed a new swing for the front of our house so I made this porch swing from a door. I turned the door on it's side, cut it to size and used cedar lumber. I didn't have a pattern for the swing I had the old swing to follow, So I just made it out of heavier wood and screws so it is very sturdy. When I finished the swing I decided it needed door knobs as accents, the hardest thing with this was when I hung the door the back was so heavy it wanted to flip. Ended up fixing that by adding I-bolts on the arms for the chains to go through.

This was one of my harder projects, but I think it turned out great.
