Found this great vintage 60's or 70's light up coke sign at the scrap yard tuesday..it is aluminum with a plastic sign insert and about 4 1/2' wide. It's in good shape for the age, but the coke sign is a bit faded out..i might hang this in my kitchen that i have been remodeling...can't understand why someone would just toss a great old coke sign, just to be crushed...or rescued by me of course.

csudderth writes: OK I confess. I feel a pang of envy everytime I see one of your finds. I miss getting to prowl through the scrap metal yard here in town. I'm hoping they'll change their policy and let us start scrounging again. It is amazing what people throw away.

ultrajunk writes: Yea, can you believe some one would think that is trash! Well i guess it's a good thing people think that way, otherwise us junkers would have some slim pickin's. I need to clean it up but it's hard to clean things in the winter without my trusty hose outside. Some stuff i drag home is covered in mud from the scrap yard when it's muddy.
