While preparing for this year holiday season it came to my mind that Reduce, Reuse, Recycle idea can be easily applied to the Christmas decoration. Most of our waste is recyclable and with a little imagination and creativity some of the things can be turned into beautiful toys to hang on the Christmas tree.

This Christmas ball is made of paper (old magazine).

What you need:
1. Old magazine
2. Scissors
3. Two types of tape - single sided and double sided
4. String

Step by step:
1. Tear off several of the inner magazine pages. (Covers are too dense)
2. Make a medium size ball using the torn pages and single sided tape.
3. Choose several pages with bright colours and cut them to 15 mm wide bands.
4. Use the bands to make paper rolls and fix them with small pieces of single sided tape.
5. It is easier to make a roll from 15 mm band but it is too long for our purposes so cut every roll in half.
6. Cover the paper ball with double sided tape.
7. Stick the small rolls to the ball starting from the middle. (The colour pattern depends only on you and the colours on the magazine pages).
8. Insert the string before adding the last rolls's done!
