The hobbit door is my design; I found the toadstool idea on Youtube.

I don't know why I wanted to do this; I guess it just looked like fun. All materials were stuff I had lying around except the bowls. Materials used for door: scrap plywood, scrap MDF beadboard, polished stones; stucco, paint, glue, metal thingies (?) for hinges, canning jar lid (for "window"), copper tape, slice of tree branch (for door handle), oil-based poly, liquid nails, bark, and moss. For toadstools: salad bowls from thrift store, tree branches (for stems), paint, poly, glue, screws. Wonder how long it will take the squirrels to destroy it. :)

Special thanks to Mother Nature for providing the huge elm tree that shades and cools my house all summer.
