Dressers with Broken Drawers. No Problemo.

A great example of one of the drawers. Im not too sure how that even worked for as long as it did. Pieced together with a bunch of random bits.

Staining the interior shelf area. I chose to stain the entire interior to match.
Prepping for the image. A coat of matte paint.
Letting the tea stain sit for a while.
After the image transfer - complete. The front drawers are now a door that swings open to a cubby hole.

My vision - find a dresser with destroyed drawers so I can justify turning them into a swing out door instead. A wee bit more elbow grease involved than I had thought but worth it.
I wanted a classic look that wouldn't be too "fad-dy" and chose the map. I do love maps!!! Now I have a great piece with much more storage for all the big bulky items I use on a daily basis but have no where pretty to store them!!
