Baby it's cold outside!
December 15th, 2008 in member junkWe love our neighbors in Minnesota...but what did you send over to Wisconsin?! 15 below regular temperature this morning - yes, you read that right - I won't even begin to share the wind chill! Thank goodness for cozy warm spaces. Our living room is our big bear hug of a room - great place to spend a cold day!! Sorry the lighting is poor - took the picture first thing this morning as the sun broke through the frost!
Most of the pieces in the room are vintage/antiques. We bought the wool rug on a whim, --- when we took up three pieces of carpet in this 150 year old room --- found the exact shadow of a similar wool rug on the painted wood floor - was a meant to be. Every other piece has a story too - that's what makes it home.

Love how warm and cozy your room looks. Beautiful white molding around the windows and doors. Love the display
area between the window and door. Lots of wonderful treasures on the shelves I can tell.

Candy - yes, McCoy is named after the pottery - his brother is Shawnee (another favorite pottery).

This room is lovely and so cozy looking! I feel like coming over, curling my legs underneath me on the sofa and reading a book. Is McCoy named after the pottery company? Thank you for sharing a peek inside your home.

**I see that rusty urn of yours too! Love that.
