With no fireplaces in our new home and since I love fireplaces, I needed to figure something out!  My new fireplace is made from 100+ yr old barn fencing.  The detailed wood piece was added for more interest - it is from an old dresser and attached upside down.  The dresser piece was a perfect match to the old fencing.  Much of the other decor you have all seen before, folks, just displayed in a different way!
No wood to burn, but candles will do!
...so pretty at night!
The wood pieces came from a porch and they help make Santa stand out as the center point of the mantel.
Our dining room has mainly white pieces against the grey-beige painted walls.  I love green at Christmas so its the only other color I used for a serene, fresh look.
The old farm pulley looks great holding some Christmas garland.
The long trough is a chicken feeder from a farm.  All decked out, it holds greens, a whitery bird and vintage ornaments I found at the thrift store.
The mirror reflects light alongside a tall silvery tree.  The BE MERRY was found at the thrift store a couple years ago for a mere $4!
There are three vintage clocks...all set to special times....the time I got married and the times of birth of each of my two sons.
The cabinet holds alot of treasures - along with my vintage dishes and metal numbered things, the little white trees were a steal at only $1 from Joanne Fabrics.
