Close up of the mark on the base.

This is another Industrial style lamp that I assembled from parts that I've scavenged for such a purpose.  The shade is a strainer  from an old milk can.  The shaft is made up of pipe pieces that I picked up and a few coupling pieces from Mennard's.  The  base is a wondeful piece of cast iron that is marked "Hawk's"  "Des Moines Iowa".  It is the base that a hot water tank sat on next to the wood stove in a kitchen.  It was needed to raise the outlet valve on the tank high enough for a bucket to fit under it.
