If you ever wonder what to do with those old cribs that can no longer be used, you may want to try this fun project. Just sand and paint. For the chalkboard -- simply make your own chalkboard paint from acryilic paint plus sandable grout. It's very easy -- and cheap. Instructions on how to make your own chalkboard paint are all over the internet and then you can make your own colors.  I used hinges across the top to attach the two sides -- then added a small piece of chain to keep them together.  This folds flat so it's easy to store too.
