Its perfect! Sunk into the studs in the wall with some lag bolts! Its not going anywhere!
The door as I found it
And the insanely powerful stripper I used on it
The view from our kitchen to front door
A little close up of the railway spikes I used for the coats. I also put smaller hooks in between for purses. I despise having to lift coats and hope they dont fall just to get to the purse lol. Lazy me says - add more hooks to avoid that!
A fun shot to show the old barnboard and display area up top.
Perfect pick!
It says - Families are like fudge - mostly sweet with a few nuts! And we be those nuts! I wouldnt change a thing!
Dr. Seuss is the PERFECT person to have quote our little family display!
And here is that crazyness we love to live! We arent a posed family - so really didnt even think about posed shots to display. In fact - the one of the hubby and I kissing is our faces pressed on a photocopier!
it is SO rare to have me straigh faced or even simply smiling in a photo - but we found a few haha! This household is awesome!~ And now I can display it!
Close up of the barnboard and L Brackets I chose. The additional hooks there are for guests!

From curb side to the biggest conversation piece in our house! I loved finding it- loved making it and now love showing it off! The glass wasn't broken in any panel and that is rare for me to find! We've been renovating the bajeebuzz out of this house and it's time to decorate. So .... here is where we started. As soon as you walk in the house now - you are greeted by this! And I LOVE IT!

GypsyBarn writes: Thanks Ladies! The hook on the end came in a box of junk I got an auction. It was the hidden treasure I guess. I've seen similar-ish ones for sale in local stores that focus on selling local talent pieces and they have some blacksmithed hardware in there. I'd say look in the small home goods and garden and gifts shops and boutiques.
