A vintage typewriter case makes a great chalkboard candidate, and the French stencil was a perfect fit.

I added a zinc tag with the English translation, a vintage typwriter key, and the original key to the typewriter case.
The ingredients:  two old black cases, single overlay stencils, a stencil brush, and white acrylic paint.
I added a little heart charm and a vintage key stamped with No. 4 to this old electronics case.
Perfect for holding all kinds of little treasures...without the chalk rubbing off.

I love chalkboards and all the beautiful lettering I've been seeing, but my lettering always comes out looking like it was done by a three year old.  Why not fake it with a stencil and just about any flat black surface?
