Manhole Cover Table

Manhole Cover Table

This is an end table I made. The top, I was told, was an old manhole cover mold. I'm not sure if that is what it really was, but I thought it was a cool piece. I just attached it to the base of an old office chair. No real talent involved. Wwa-la, instant table! It's nice, too, because it rotates like a lazy susan so if you need the romote (which your husband has on the other side), you just have to turn it. I also added a grate in the center of it which I purchased at the Junk Market :)

MimiToria writes: I really liked this when I was at your open house last December, but didn't have a clue what it was made from or that you'd created it. Great job, and so one-of-a-kind. That is my favorite thing about junk, you can make it so unique and "just yours". Posted: 9:46 pm on September 1st
CottageElements writes: Hi, Tim, errr I mean JediJunk! Someone once described my style as Shabby Chic meets Urban Loft. I thought that was kind of clever. I guess it's kind of cottage, kind of modern, lots of vintage, lots of junk . . . I guess maybe I'm just one of a kind?
