You could sst the mirror right on the table, but I like the lift the foundry piece has to offer. Lift and separate...ah,hahaha! Now there's a vintage saying. Seriously, using serving pieces of various heights will create more interest on your buffet table. If you're going to take the time to cook it...you may as well make it look pretty. Just saying.
The industrial round piece comes from a bottling machine. That's what I was told any hoo...and I'm sticking with it. That is until one of you points out the error of my ways.
Measure your round and call Mr. Glass man. after he has done the cutting you can glue it all by your lonesome!
A marriage made in heaven. This foundry piece was the perfect match for the newly assembled mirror.
See what I mean. The mirror is beefy enough...so no need to glue to the base. It will sit securely with no worry of the topple. Then when you don't want the pieces together any more you can take them apart and hang the mirror on the wall. Oh, my word...yet another twofer. Will wonders never cease??
Oh, and of course it's all about the details. Here's a little decorative piece made by Miss Marge out of old embroidery hoops. I love the broom corn coming through the circle. Just a nice little touch!

You know me...love entertaining with junk. This little ditty is fab for displaying Fall foliage, but would also work well on a buffet as a serving piece. Guess what i am going to say next. Do you know what it is? TWOFER!!!

This is fabulous. I love the industrial round piece. It looks fantastic with the mirror in it.
Sounds like you are a busy girl..but when aren't you? Have fun out there on the road. Hopefully we will hook up again someday.
