Glad to finally see my one-of-a-kind yardstick console/hall table complete!
I used vintage yardsticks along with some I colored and aged to bring the design all together.
I gave the surface many layers of clearcoat to protect it.
The Singer sewing machine base was heavily rusted so I had to spent many hours sanding and smoothing it down.  Then went on several coats of high gloss black paint.
The Singer logo along with other small parts and bolts were touched up and gold paint.
The corners were accented and secured with parts of an old metal angle square that I sacrificed from the garage.  The corners are protected with modified copper pipe hanger parts.
Lots of age, color and industrial sheen!
For the edges of the table surface I used some surplus metal roof rain guard pieces.
Underneath I went ahead and used some metal came (from stained glass work) to cover the sharp edge of the tucked metal rain guard edges.
Glad to finally see my one-of-a-kind yardstick console/hall table complete!

Old metal meets old yardsticks to create the industrial sheen of this upcycled console/hall table.
