Welcome to my little corner of the den...
Copper hardware... Love it! My husband likes it too... he hangs his coat on it, LOL !
BIG iron hinges hold this door to the wall.
A fun find from the store where I sell....
The small desk had layers of paint... it appears rough, but it's sanded smooth to the touch.
As always, I prefer to repair peeling veneer with old wood. It's fast and easy.
The light chain was covered with grain bags sewn to fit and scrunched together. The light was my grandpa's :)
The ladder sits on top of the door at one end and is held up with this very cool rusty chain on the other end.
Old books and an iron string holder are inside this newer glass dome.
My favorite part.... I love decorating with ladders. The crate and greens really finish the look.
And finally, a Christmas gift from my son... this sign. Perfect !!
Welcome to my little corner of the den...
Totally created with stuff on hand... from in and behind the barn :)

I just discovered this place and I LOVE LOVE LOVE your little office nook. I have an old French door that I want to incorporate in a similar way that you used your door, but I am "stuck" on the "how to" of it all. Can you please help me, by detailing the hardware and steps you used to stand your door upright and form a "wall"?
I would greatly appreciate any and all help. Neither my husband nor myself are very savvy with carpentry skills.
