In the entryway a little pair of whit rubber boots all lit up. Adorable!
This was one of my favorites and talk about simple! A grate with an ornament and there you have it.
OK, so maybe this was my favorite! It was so hard to choose.
I loved the attention Lanette paid to detail. A crystal and a tag on a bathroom towel. Love it!
Lanette has many architectural pieces in her home. This one in the window with a simple wreath was stunning.
Bottles, boxes, and brush trees.
You all must remember the tractor disc spacers...or maybe not. Thats what the bases of the trees are. Delovely!
Loved, loved, loved this large galvanized container over the fire place.
This junk table is ab fab and Lanette did a wonderful job keeping the decorations simple and elegant.
This is Lanettes junk tree. Desnt it amaze you how differently people interpret junk? Individuality is one of the many perks of being a junker.
A closer peek at the tree.
Yay! We had so much fun. It was really wonderful to get to catch up with Gretchen and Lanette. Thanks so much to Lanette for sharing her home and to Gretchen for spending the day with me. Friends are what make the world go round!

Lanette Lorsung, JMS contributor opened her doors to let folks take a peek at her holiday ideas and stylish decor. I couldn't wait to get there to see what she had cooked up for Christmas. Let me tell you, it was certainly worth the drive. Lanette has a style that is all her own. What I enjoyed most about it was the simplicity in the delivery. Edit is a hard word when it comes to holidays, but Lanette has the less is more concept all wrapped up! Sheer elegance!

Glad Caroline you came again with your daughter. She seems like such a sweet, well rounded girl. Donna, if you're ever up in MN, please let me know. I'd love to get together with you. I did add a post to my blog if anyone wants to see more pics! I took a ton, so only posted a few so far. Hoping they make you want to see more??? It's at www.cottageelements.blogspot.com. Happy Turkey Day to all!

I am so glad my daughter and I were able to see your
home on the holiday home tour. You have a very beautiful
home and your holiday decorating was just wonderful. It is
a lot of work and we appreciate it. Thanks for being such
a warm and inviting hostess. We had a really nice time.
We also got an extra bonus meeting Sue Whitney. Here my
daughter is only 24 years young and has already met Sue.
Her comment to me when we left your house, "I did not
realize Sue was so famous". It was special.
Thanks again.

Your home is spectacular. Your vintage treasures are just stunning and you have an amazing talent of putting everything together in beautiful vignettes and displays. You must be absolutely exhausted after the home tour!!! Gretchen emailed me some more pictures and, as I told her, I have been pouring myself over them examining every detail with a lot of joy and excitement. Thanks for the inspiration!

CottageElements writes: Oh, my. I nearly forgot! Thanks so much, Sue, for talking time out of your oh so busy schedule to spend time with me and Gretchen and to come to my home. You are so gracious and I was really honored. I hope you were still able to get those projects done for Martha by Monday. Best wishes and hugs!

CottageElements writes: Thanks everyone for all your great comments! Kimberly, I'm not sure if I'll do it again next year, but you can always come over. We can have a "JUNK Gals" Party! Have a great time in AZ! Gretchen, you are too kind, but so glad you had such a great time. Kari and Erin, glad you loved the skates in the fish tank! Candy, you can be my sister-in-junk anytime. And finally, Rachael, the necklace you sent me worked great for the accent on my handtowel. Just a little touch of junk goes a long way! Thanks again everyone. Wish I could have you all over for a "Christmas Junk Party!" Happy Thanksgiving!

Junk_Sophisticate writes: Sue - I have been dying to see these so thank you for the "tour"! It looks like you and Gretchen had a great time making your rounds to these lovely places.

I can't get over the simplicity of the little white rubber boots. I just love that. I also love the pretty feather trees placed on the tractor parts.

Lani - You do amazing work! Can you be my Sister-in-Junk? Hehe. Hope you are catching up on some rest after all this.

Meadowview_Farm writes: What an amazing winter wonderland! I am ready to redo all my holiday decorating to be "just like Lani's". However - would suspect that my take on ice skates in an aquarium just wouldn't have the style or grace. I can aspire though!
Thanks for the inspiration!!

MimiToria writes: This was a fabulous hostess, Lani, home and excellent taste in decorating. If I could just kick her and her family out and move in "as is" I'd think for sure I'd died and gone to heaven. I am serious! Lani is so very talented and she doesn't quite know it. That is what makes her so sweet and special. She isn't aware of her awesomeness. Keeps her a humble & awesome friend.
I agree with everything Sue said, and more. Excellent day, one of my best and very memorable.
Kimberly your in for next year. We should have a Junk Market crew that goes for lunch and on the tour and back to the store for shopping. It is so worth it.
Thanks Lani for opening up your home again. This is the 4th time I've seen your homes on the holiday tour and I don't know how you do it, but this year it was over the top awesome. Loved it all!

Greetings from sunny AZ! So sorry I missed the festivities. Lani your home looks absolutely beautiful! I am loving your junk style! Simple and elegant and fabulous! I am in for next year if you do it again. I think the tree is just divine!

Sorry I missed you too Gretchen. I know Sue had a terrific time visiting with you and touring.

Junking with friends really is the best!
