If youre like me, you know EVERYTHING you have in your junk stash. But the real problem is finding it when you want it.Wouldnt it be nice to have everything this nicely stacked, all within quick and easy reach like this little pile?
Why yes, yes it would. So when my storage area exploded once again, I got serious and delegated some serious space for it.
I dismanteled two smaller shelving units I had (GORM by Ikea), threw them together and allowed the area to eat up an entire wall, floor to ceiling.
And ended up with my own junk store! Its lots to look at, but at the same time, its fun to look at! This stash sits beside my day job desk that resides to the left, so I get to enjoy looking at my passion loot every moment I work.
Wanna go window shopping? Lets!
Baaack away.... theyre taken! :)
Its physically painful, isnt it?
Love how I can squeak all kinds of tall things along the top.
The pitchers all in one place?!? I must be dreaming...
Ahh... thats where they went. How novel to find all my stuff again.
Width wise, the unit takes up very little space, yet the height doesnt waste one square inch.
As for this area?
YES! Now to think up something unique to replace those normal schnormal file cabinets...
And finish that room beyond... now that I can get to it!
Definitely to be continued. :)

When one is a collector of junk, as you well know, you can run into some storage 'issues'. Where do you put the surplus? Ya gotta have some surplus so you can change things out on occasion, right?

Well, my little storage area's been an issue for at least 5 years and I've finally resolved it. And all it took was putting together a shelf unit I ALREADY HAD.

Good grief...

How do you get any work done with all that treasure beside you calling your constant attention?!? Great organizing. Posted: 7:16 am on March 14th
