tiered plates to hold cupcakes, cookies, mini potted flowers, candles, whatever.

I made them out of glass candlestick holders (from a thrift shop) and from plates I found for free while 'dumpster diving' at the local flea market

Welcome to the site! This is such a great way to use those old mismatched plates we all have tucked away. Very fun and ingenious way to stack them. We use a lot of Gorilla Glue here at the JM and do love it. You are right about the expansion factor.
