Halloween Upcycled Bird House with License Plate Body
October 7th, 2012 in member junkI started this birdhouse with a 1953 Texas orange old license plate. I immediately got the sense that this one needed to be inspired by Halloween and witches. From there I used several different found old parts. I then carved some antique spoons into rose leaves as the perch as above the birdhole. An old funnel completes the witch hat on top. Pieces of leather from old skates (or witches boots!) make great hole patches on the sides. Copper accents and copper painted nuts and bolts finish the look along with some ornate trays for the roof and bottom platter.
Here are the measurements...
Height: 11.5"; Width (side to side): 8"; Depth (front to back): 9".
Pattern or design used: My own design - Brian GadgetSponge
