This Necklace has the inspiration point being a vintage photo of my husbands parents whom were married 50 years ago.
This photo shows most of the hand wire-wrapped portions of the chain, which make up the majority of this necklace.
This photo shows a #5, which represents the 5 children that she has.
My Mil was re purposing everything that ever came into her path, long before it was Cool to do so, she's very creative thus the "create" charm was added. There are also a number of flower/garden elements interspersed in the necklace to represent her love of that hobby as well.
Her career most of her working years centered around her sewing talents, thus the mother of pearl buttons and other sewing elements through out. She also is a Christian, so her faith is evident in this piece through the cross, vintage Bible, etc.
The entire necklace was painstakingly hand wire wrapped with loads of details that were specific to my Mil's interests, life and such.
It truly was a labor of love, time and energy.

This necklace gift was recently created and given to my Mil for Mother's Day. I consider this a memory necklace and it was custom designed and created for the recipient with each item I chose to incorporate into it.
