Made from salvaged antique wrought iron, this is the
ideal christmas tree!  No watering, no needles to pick up, decorate it
as little or as much as you like.
Here are some closeups.

csudderth writes: Oh, man, this is awesome. I do welded sculptures of people out of old junk and I'd love to do a tree like that. Are the curled branches found items or are they pieces of metal that have been bent? Anyway, great job.

CottageElements writes: Mike, LOVE your Christmas tree! If the rest of your designs are anything like this, I'm sure I'd be in heaven. I have a girlfriend that lives in Greensboro. How far are you from her? About an hour or so? We could make a trip of it. But it might be a challege shipping this stuff home. Great post!

Junk_Sophisticate writes: You definitely have a winner with this one! No need to decorate it at all! And I agree it has a Whoville vibe to it. Your welder did an amazing job.

BlackDogSalvage writes: Hey Sue,
We do alot of reuse creations here at BlackDog. This one is holiday inspired, as you can see. All the iron was harvested from 100 year old Egytian iron we have in stock. I think it has a Dr.Seuss look... I love Whooville!
Our staff welder assembled this tree in 2 days of cut and fit application.
To create something like this, some basic welding skills are needed with an ample supply of cool, curley iron. The old car wheel makes for a neat base, too.
Keep in touch with us for more weird and stylish salvage art and furniture. It's one of the more creative parts of our business.

Thanks for the hip-hip-hooray!
