faucet knob wind chimes
November 14th, 2008 in member junkWhat junker doesn't have a bunch of these in their stash..? We fashioned up a windchime and love the wonderful tinkle sound. We recommend using the zinc or aluminum knobs as they are light and really catch the breeze. We used an old metal something-or-other at the top but have also used a heaver big knob as well. Light gauge fishing line or wire works best to hang them from.

Funny you should say that because I too have a pretty good stash of these things.
Love this project and love that view, lucky girl! Thanks for the tip regarding the lighter weight knobs.

I did something along those same lines, except I screwed the knobs to some copper piping, and used them as little garden posts in my flowered pots and around the garden ~ they mimick little colorful flowers and the patina on the copper posts will turn green after being exposed to the elements.
Now if I could just find my camera so I can take a picture to show you...... Posted: 4:35 pm on November 14th
